San Ramon, Alajuela
San Ramón is a charming city located in the province of Alajuela, in the northwestern part of the Central Valley, and is known for its beautiful landscapes, friendly community, and vibrant culture. Nectandra — A Neotropical Wonder
Nectandra Garden Public Tours Nectandra is open to the public and dedicated to public education. They have naturalist-guided tours for a limited number of visitors by reservation. Visitors will have ample chance to hear the sounds of the forest, to observe the fauna and flora, and to experience the serenity of the place. The entrance fee includes the guided tour and a short lecture program.

Cloud Forest, Birdwatching and Quetzals
Experience the immense cloud forest which we share with Monteverde, where orchids, birds and other animals such as tapir and jungle cats live. During the months of February through June, the Resplendent Quetzal is frequently sighted.

Zip Line Adventure
Located in the lush cloud forest we offer you a safe and exciting zip line experience. You will glide along cables high up in the lush, green canopy. This 12-cable zip line adventure includes a half-kilometer superman-style zip line and an exhilarating Tarzan swing.

Nearby Nature Reserve and English School
Just a 10-minute walk from us, is our neighbor’s small English school where he offers classes to the locals for free. There are trails, where you can see a river, a waterfall and wildlife. You may also volunteer and converse with the students so they may practice their English.
