By car, we are about an hour west of SJO Airport along the Panamerican Highway, on the route to La Fortuna and Volcano Arenal. We offer travelers the perfect stop-over before taking on the winding, mountainous route north to La Fortuna and Arenal, which can be especially challenging at night.
If you are setting out from the airport (SJO) in the late afternoon, it is best to overnight at a safe, clean hotel within an hour’s drive of the airport. You may be surprised what is on offer in our little neck of the woods! Many guests extend their stay, or return on their way back to the airport.
